AP Euro?

Would anyone recommend the REA prep book for this subject? I used it for US because someone recommended it to me and it was very good. Wasn't sure if it would be as good for euro. Thanks

You're right, REA is great for US; it's horrible for European. In fact, it's a joke. (Three of the DBQ's consist solely of CARTOONS--ridiculous, that's the word I was looking for.)

Honestly, nothing's good for Euro besides the Viault book.

Yes, and the Viault book is amazing

Is that the Modern European History Since the Late Middle Ages book?

Viault's book (Modern European History) was amazing. I used that in conjunction with PR's book and easily got a 5.

PS: If you class uses The Western Heritage, by Kagan, Ozment, and Turner, seriously consider buying the Viault book. It is an invaluable resource for essay tests, and its concise format really allows you to "get the big picture FAST!".

NO NO NO NO REA NO REA, I repeat, REA sucks...The tests are totally not like the real AP test...the review is useless, its too detailed and does not focus on the right stuff. I heard the PR book is good though...Also I used the McKay book as the text, and it was bearable.

Cannednish: I did the same exact thing...used the Viault book w/ PR...got a 5

REA is great for US
Horrible for Euro

Just like how Cliffsnotes is great for Euro
But horrible for US

I'm currently using cliffsnotes for the euro part of my class, usually as supplementary to our work and to help me review/study (i have no idea what the practice tests are like though)

Thanks for all the help guys. I am just waiting for my copy of the Viault book to come in the mail. Can't wait for the 5 on the exam. Here's to hoping
