AP european history

Who has taken this course and what book did you use? How'd you do on the exam? Did the book prepare you well?

i took the course my soph year (my hs ap euro = standard for 10th graders). we read a book called Western Civilization by this dude - i cant remember his name). all i remember doing was actually reading the book during the year and studying on my 'weaknesses' (ie what I had forgot or was sketchy on). anywho, i got a 5. i just used Princeton for a refresher summarization of the chapters i needed a refreshment on.

Lol, no one in our school really even considers AP until Junior year, and even then, if you take more than one, you are "insane!!" ... this year, i have three sophs in my euro class, but i'm a senior. I really wish they had started offering these classes to us at a younger age... now it's disappointing because I want to have more APs but i've only got a few because I started junior year.

colleges view your academic profile as a relative term (ie if you maximized the opportunities available at your high school)

I took it as a sophomore too. My teacher gave the answers to the questions before the tests. I didn't know the importance of AP tests, so it was a bit of a joke to me. I still managed a 3 even after doing such things as sleeping, playing cards, and ****ing in a water bottle in class. You'll do fine.

that's disgusting. But anyways, i was just curious about what text you guys were all using becuase our teacher is jumping back and forth in between books and he's not doign a very good job at teaching us anything and so I wanted to get a good book and figure it out myself.

We used Wetern Civ, too!
REA + PR helps.
I got a 4 (thou our class was only 1 sem. )

what is REA and PR?

the prep books' publishers.
PR = princeton review, btw

Is that Western Civilizations by some guy with the name like Spigliovich? sorry about the very messed up spelling.

ya thats his name

My sophomore class used Kishlansky's Civilization in the West. It was awesome. I read every chapter and made a five.
