Hello Everyone,
I would really appreciate some help here. I feel like I am between a 4 and a 5 on AP US which I just took late testing today. Although, I don't feel very strong about the essay's, I am a little unsure. By my estimates I keep getting a 5 on AP pass, but I am not sure how accurate it is. I was wondering what the curve for AP US was, and if you know what is the late testing curve.... I am nervous. Thanks for any help, please let me know.

ps if you took late US testing what did you think?

I don’t know much about late testing, but I felt the same way after I took the APUSH exam last year, but ended up getting a 5. Really, don’t worry too much, because they do their best to make it as fair as possible. You’ll probably get a 5.

Ok Thanks a lot. I am just worried by essays might be a little un-orginized and that the analysis might not be top-notch on all the docs. I guess I was wondering how others thought it was?

Late testing curves aren’t released as far as I know. Keep in mind that the curve will probably be a bit harder as there is no guessing penalty; AP Pass just uses the old curves. If you’re getting 5’s by a comfortable margin, you will probably get a 5. Even if not, you have a good chance of getting a 5. Anyway, there’s little point in worrying about it now, the test is done.

AP Pass has scaled their curves in response to the no guessing penalty.

Ok well thanks about that. I am a worrier, it happened last year and I scored 5 so I am hoping that is what is going to happen, I don’t know. Do you all suppose that the curve on the late testing is better, similar to, or harder then the curve on the normal test.

Either similar or slightly easier, just because the B test always seems to be harder than the A test but you don’t really hear much about the curves for the B test I don’t think, so I can’t really verify.

Some people say harder.

It’s probably around the same.
