My son had an A in AP US History but got a 4 on the exam. He got a B in AP Physics but got a 5 on the exam. He got an A on AP CompSci & got a 5 & got a C in British Lit & got a 5 on English Comp.

APUSH 2 (A in class...learned history 15% of the time....with zero hw and reading... i take pride with that 2)
AP Calc AB 4 (A in class....worked hard....and it paid off)

AP Calc AB: B (1st) A (2nd) = 5
AP Bio: C (1st) B (2nd) = 4
AP US: B (1st) A (2nd) = 3

I thought it was funny how i got a C in bio and did better on the AP test in that class than AP US. And i didnt study a lot for either of the tests. I guess I am more interested in Bio than stupid History.

AP Statistics: 5/A
AP Calculus BC: 5/A
AP Physics C: 5,5/A
AP English Lit and Comp: 4/B
AP Spanish Language: 3/B
AP Chemistry: 5/A
AP US History: 5/A

I made an A in both Cal AB and Bio and made fives on the test.

But, I think that in general due the varying nature of AP instruction nationwide an A in an AP class is no way an indicator of strong test performance.

AP Statistics 5/A (Highest = A)
AP US History 5/A (Highest = A)
But the grade really depend on the AP Instructor in that specific class at your school. My high school isn't excellent in academics, and many of my friends who get A in AP Stats and AP US barely have a 1 or 2 on the tests.
