Not really into doing the whole “I’m gonna self-study some joke classes” because it doesn’t help you in any regard (admissions or college credit).

Frosh:
AP U.S. History
AP Environmental Science
AP Human Geography

^Those are the exact AP exams I took sophomore year. Interesting.

^
Really? I’ll be self-studying all three. Given the amount of time I think it will be feasible to do. How did you score?

Freshman:
AP World History

^^ I scored straight 5’s.

This is for my senior year:
Actual classes - AP Chemistry, AP Spanish Language, AP English Literature, AP Art History
Self-studies - AP Biology, AP Spanish Literature, AP World History

will that be overkill?

Spanish lit will be really really hard to self study (unless native speaker). Same goes for world (although some people find it easy to self study, the majority do not)

Well, my school only offers a course called Honors Global Studies, which isn’t exactly world history but comparable so i guess its a half-self-study

as for lit, i know but hopefully my lang teacher will help me

Junior Year.

Class:
- AP U.S. Government & Politics

Self-studies:
- AP Language & Composition
- AP U.S. History
- AP Psychology
- AP Microeconomics

^ am like 90% that the guy above me is advertising, but has upped his act to make it believable…I’ve seen multiple similar usernames with the same song and dance

^Definitely.

I’m taking AP Chemistry next year (my only AP). I’m a sophomore and I’m 1 of 15 people taking APs next year so that’s pretty good even though I’m only taking one.

I’m planning on self studying micro or macro economics (which one is easier? I’d love some input), and/or psych.

fact: you’re still advertising your product. ■■■■.

^^Do both micro and macro together. They complement each other nicely, and they’re both pretty short self-studies. Neither one is easier than the other; it’s based solely on personal ability/preference. Some think macro is much easier while others think micro is much easier.

Okay great, now I just have to talk to my school. I’m afraid they are going to think I’m taking too much on. They don’t understand, I took the hardest course-load possible as a freshman and I got all As even though I missed weeks of school due to medical issues.

I’m also going to have to convince my parents because they will think the same thing even though I never get stressed.

Another problem is that my school doesn’t offer any of those classes. How would I be able to take the test then?

^ You’ll probably end up taking it at another high school that administers the test.

Some schools will still administer the test even if they don’t offer the class. At my school, we usually have 1-3 people taking AP tests that our school doesn’t offer, such as the econs, HG, psych, etc. We just have to pay the normal $86 and our school provides a testing room and a proctor(s). However, other schools might not offer tests for APs that they don’t teach; schools aren’t required to administer the tests. If this is the case, you should ask neighboring schools if you can take the test there. This is what collegeboard and most people on this forum recommend, and it usually works out well.
