I'm taking 6 AP classes this year and am unsure of which tests to take. Will the credit count? Or would i maybe be able to move to the next level. Since i want to major in International Relations- Economics, im not sure if my macro and micro econ will count. What i am hoping is that instead of taking the econ 101 and 102 ill be able to take 200s even though i wont get college credit for the AP exam. These are the APs i should be taking because of the classes i am in. Macro and Micro Econ, Lit, Gov, Bio, and Calc. Which should i take??

Woah, you want to do IR-Econ too? That is so cool! Yeah, I'm also wondering if it's worth taking ap tests. I think I'll do only econ :).

You can find more info about credit awarded for AP tests here:

I'm taking AP Calc too, and I wasn't sure whether I wanted to take the AP exam or not. I talked to my teacher, who said that if you take calc, you should definitely take the exam, because many Grad School majors require some sort of grounding in Calculus. If what you're studying isn't math-heavy, and if you have high AP scores, you won't have to take the test again. Sounds odd, I know, but she's tutoring a grad student from Columbia University now who didn't take the AP, but could have fulfilled her requirement there by taking it. So it seems that calc would be a good AP to take. Hope it helps!

You can't take all the AP exams? My D's school offers 23 AP's and they're scheduled so there are few conflicts...actually, I've never heard of someone not being able to take one of the exams. My D took Lit, Gov, and Calc all the same year and could have taken the Bio if that class had been in her schedule. The only one I don't know about is Econ.

Econ is unique: you get both macro and micro for the same price, and you take them back to back (ugh).
