I was recently accepted to Rice on a cell biology/biochemistry major. I also plan to major in economics. Right now we are signing up for AP exams at my school. I plan to take Comp Sci AB, English Lit, Macroeco, US gov/polit, stats, music theo, and chinese.

Will Rice accept my music theo credit? I know it wasn't on the list of AP credits of 07-08 but will it be different for 08-09? Also, will it really help me to take all of the exams listed above at Rice? I'd like to complete my double major in maybe 3 1/2 or 3... and also I'm on tight funds so plz help me out...

Congrats, and yeah, if you want to graduate early, using your AP credits will help clear those elective spots out of the way. i dont know if they will accept it but i doubt they will change their policy from one year to the next, but your other AP creds will help you get a head start on graduation.

i know that Comp Sci and Stat will give you distribution requirements, but since youre majoring in biochem, it wont help you out that much, only place you into higher classes.

I dont believe that English Lit and Macroecon count towards distribution requirements, only towards higher level classes. Im actually contemplating taking these two as well even though they wont give me D1/D2 credit
