Ap French Lang Exam

How difficult is it to get a 4 or 5 on the AP French Language Exam? For those of you who did, how did you prepare?

My French 4 "AP" class was absolutely useless in preparing for the AP exam, so I did most of my prep on my own. I bought the Barrons AP book with the audio tape(which, at the time atleast, was the only one I could find) and did a lot of practice out of that book. For the listening sections, the more practice you do, the better you get at it. For the speaking, I recorded myself answering some of the questions on the practice test and I asked a French teacher I had had in the past to give me suggestions/corrections. The hardest part for me was the fill-in-the-blank part, because I had had very little experience with some of the words (dont, ainsi etc) but after a lot of practice, it all begins to make sense. As for my actual test day, I didn't think I did too well (I ran out of time on the speaking sections, didnt understand a few of the listening, and didnt finish my essay) so I was pretty suprised when I got a 4 on the test.
