I'm a freshman, and I want to start learning French :D
So any good suggestions for self study books for beginners?
Thanks

This is a GREAT introduction to French grammar: [Amazon.com: Practice Makes Perfect: Complete French Grammar (Practice Makes Perfect Series) (9780071482844): Annie Heminway: Books](http://www.amazon.com/Practice-Makes-Perfect-Complete-Grammar/dp/0071482849)

They also have books for vocab, prepositions, and other things, but I don’t know how good those ones are.

I used this because I was bored in my French class, and it taught me how to conjugate at least 7 different tenses. Also learned a bit of usage, and it helped clarify concepts I had known before but wasn’t sure on. It covers all the fundamentals you need in your first year or two :)
