My question is should I take the AP Government classes next year (they are lumped into one class at my school both comparative and and U.S.), or should I take honors physics. If I took the AP gov I would take regular physics and would have 3 AP courses. If I took honors physics I would have like no social studies courses at all and only 2 AP classes. Which will look better to colleges. I am strongly considering UC-Berkeley right now if that helps. I'm thinking the AP gov is better because it's more diverse and has more AP's. What do you guys think? Don't tell me to take both.

prob honors physics because colleges would rather you have ap's in the core subjects first..plus social studies is horrible =P

Hmm... toughie. What are you planning on majoring in? If it's math/science, take physics. If it's almost anything else, take gov. However, you might be able to study for the gov test, which now that I think about it wouldn't make much sense if it's your senior year. What does the rest of your schedule look like?

from my experience: I loved honors physics, but there's not much of a difference between regular physics and honors. I took AP Gov and thought it was ridiculously easy and not entirely worth my time, but got AP credit.

So reluctantly, I say go for AP Gov. Social studies classes are important--in my school, government is required, and social studies is considered a 'core' area. You might also want to consider how heavy your course load is, which teachers are teaching the classes, and which subject seems more interesting.

I think I'm gonna take a schedule that looks like this
AP Chemistry
AP Calculus AB
AP U.S. Government(1 tri)
AP Comparative Government(2 tri)
Physics H (maybe physics regular this seems very stressful to me overall)
Language Arts 12 H
Computer Technology
Advanced Anatomy (Aide)
I think I should take the AP gov (AP Physics was never even an option) because I'll end up with 4 AP's rather than 2. I don't know though if I can handle all of this and honors physics though, I kind of want to take regular. Anyways I plan on majoring in Bio with a focus on genetics.
