AP Gov Self Study

So I plan on self studying for AP Gov this year because my school won’t let us take anymore. I only plan on getting at least a 4 on the test. I was hopeing you guys would give me some advice on what book I should buy to self study from.

So far, I have Crash Course because I’ve read that it is one of the best books for Gov, but I know that this is not enough. So, does anyone have any
recommendations on what other prep book to self study from. Thank You.

This is the book I use for My online AP Gov class: Wilson, J., & Dilulio, J. American Government (11th ed.). Boston: Houghton Mifflin Company.  I also use this website shmoop to helpreview for the AP exam, but you might need to ask a teacher or buy a membership to sign up.

Quite honestly, if you understand the Crash Course book inside and out, I have no doubt you can get at least a 4 on the exam. I have relied on Crash Course for all of my past AP social studies exams and got 4s and 5s on all of them. Princeton Review is very good for social studies as well, I’d definitely recommend that, although I’m sure the information is going to be pretty much the same between the two. But if you want to be thorough, feel free to get both, in case one has resources that the other does not offer.

@Anglograce Thanks for the reassurance. I’ll just pick up both books in case one omits information from the other.
