Hi! I'm a high school junior, and due various conflicts mostly due to the strict schedule laid out by the IB Diploma, I can't fit government, a required course at my school, into my schedule. I would like to take as many AP tests as possible, and my history teacher thinks I could "teach myself" the AP part of a course through study guides and cram books. This would be assuming that I took a regular gov course online, but I would need to find a course that I could complete in about two months (the AP test is in May). Another option is to take the AP test this May, then take the actual online course this summer, AFTER the test, just to get the requirement taken care of. I really don't want to wait until next year, because I'll have tons of AP/IB/application/graduation stuff at that time. My guidance counselor knows no more than I do about technicalities and the best options. Does anyone know any good, quick, cheap online gov classes? Is it okay to take the AP test without taking a course? What are some good ways to independently study for this kind of thing? Thank you so much!

Just buy a few review books, AP Gov isn’t too hard.
