AP Goverment and Politics Notes/Websites

Okay, so someone asked me this today, and since we use the "Government in America" book, their website have a pretty good student resources. But are there any other resources (like course-notes.org for APUSH) for APGP?

Oh, and does anyone else take this as a year-long class? Mine is and it's just so...slow. And boring. Lots of busy work. Not that I'm complaining...just that I don't think we're going to do very well on the AP test. But who knows.

Our school does it so we have American Gov. this semester and then Comparative next semester. We use the same textbook as you, and I loathe it. I'm sure I wouldn't have to struggle so much in studying for tests/quizzes if the book managed to present the information in even a marginally coherent and interesting way. I'm lucky to have a great teacher who makes most lessons interesting regardless.

We're lucky to have an intelligent teacher who throws common sense out the window and teaches down to us like we're three years old.

Oh wait, maybe that isn't lucky.

We had a workbook that went along with our textbook last year which helped alot (able to take notes right on the outline while reading the book). That test was difficult. The essays are what killed me, I got a 4.

justforgetme:

Oh, god. Tell me about it. She's nice and funny--in her own way-- (oh, and blatantly gave me an answer to one of essays today) I just hope she's over her "project" phase. Oh, and group work to discus the most obvious points in the book. Yeah, it's definetely college-level.

But you're lucky--try 1st period with Balch. Well maybe not so much--you missed his amazing Bill O' Rights rap. It was...indescribable.

Haha, in my AP Gov class we had to write a Bizzle of Rizzle (Fo Shizzle)...

By the way, we use American Government by Wilson/Dilulio. Horrible, horrible, horrible. Self-contradictory, poorly written--it's considered one of the best...

Government in America is possibily the most boring book ever written.

I hate this class sooooo much. It's very easy but there so much freakin busy work. I literally have more hw for gov. than physics C and calc combined.

yes... that's the book we used, too. It's condensed, but it perpared me pretty well.
