I want to get a 5 on this exam!
Anyone knows the current events I must know?
I am like clueless…cause I don’t read newspapers or watch TV at all.

^I don’t know any current events whatsoever. I don’t think we need to.

This exam is overall a joke I heard. For example, I’m taking env. science and we covered more about agriculture and urban geography and the saddest part, there is more about economics in that class. Maps and geographic scale are common sense. The only difficult part for some people may be political geography and cultural geography. Otherwise, in my personal opinion, easy 5.

And I’m a self-study. Barron’s book!

im self-studying. havent even cracked open book yet. 6 more tests to go also.
roflmaooooooooooooooooooooo.

7 exams left. I’m going to start studying for this on Thursday :(

^roflmao same here.

I don’t intend to open the book for another week =D

Wow you guys are really pushing it lol

I’m interested to see what you guys get that saved it for the night before, just for curiousity.

I did Comparative Government all the night before the exam… I’m certain that I got at least a four. I’ll just go with the same process for HG I figure =)

Does anyone have any of the released exams?

@ puggly,
i doubt that you’ll need more than one night to study for this; i mean, personally, once im done ap english language, im heading straight home to self-study for aphg wednesday night and all day thursday, just to ensure my 5

but, trust me, last year, i studied for ap world history the night before in a hospital, and i still made a 4 =]

on top of that, i hardly know that much about the ap process; im canadian

so, really, considering all the above, aphg should be a joke; i’m only worried about the free-response (which i’m clueless about)

ps- does anybody know the mark breakdown?
example, how many points needed on free response and how many on multiple choice to ensure a 5?

thaaaanks, and good luck to you all on ur other APs ;)

So, less than a week =O

Let’s get this topic on the front page and make it STAY there -.-

What are you doing to study? I’m reading through Barrons, but does anybody have good websites?

I’ve heard vocab is big thing, who knows good strategies to keep track of them?

Well, most of Human Geo vocab is common sense so I wouldn’t worry too much about that. I’m most worried about finding examples about random things or maybe some of the models. But at this point I would suggest just to read Barron’s a few times. That should be good for a 5, as for some reason I have a feeling this test will be very easy.

I just got Barron’s today, I read the whole thing in 4 hours. I’ll be reading it over the week.

What do we read in the newspaper? I loaded a bunch of news apps onto my iPad, but I don’t know where I should be focusing on!!!

And I’m about to finish taking notes on Chapter 3 of Barrons. F M L. I don’t know if I’m going to have to skip on Thursday. Sure hope not.

Question: Does anyone know how to score the APHuG tests (already curled CB and couldn’t find anything)…got a 69/75 on my MC and 14 pts out of 23 on my FRQ (60.8% haha)… So would that be a 5?

@sophomore120164- that is a very high 5.

To score it, multiply your raw multiple choice score by .8 (that is after deducting .25 for the problems you missed.)
Then, find out what you would need to multiple by 23 to equal 60, and multiply that number with 14. I did it and it is about 2.6.

Add those two scores together, and you have your score out of 120. Generally, 70+ is a 5.

K I just computed it real fast and got around 91 or 92 out of 120. You’re pretty much set for a 5 in my opinion. May I ask which practice test that was out of which book?

bump to my question ^^
