AP Human Geography

I’m currently a freshman at a magnet school I currently attend. I was wondering to see if a B in AP Human Geography is bad, I’m on the verge of going into a B. The class runs on an A B schedule meaning I’ll have AP HUG for my whole school year. I’ve been extremely stressed about this one class as I’m afraid it will go down into a B, I’m not taking any other AP classes except for this one class. I only have 2 honors classes and was wondering if getting a B could affect my chances in the future with higher class colleges as I’ve heard AP Human is one of the easiest AP classes. I want to attend colleges like GA Tech or UGA so I was wondering if a B in this class would affect my chances a lot to get accepted into those schools. I may just be worrying too much about this since I’m only a freshman.

Seriously? This is part of the problem with today’s grade-obsessed culture.

Kids need to learn how to get B’s. You’ll survive it. And guess what - when you go to the workplace, you won’t get an “A” on everything either, due to factors in and outside your control.

My son took AP Human Geography with a very hard teacher. Only 15 kids of 80 got an A. Most were B’s and just as many C’s as A’s. A few got a D or failed. Guess what - those B students survived and got into good colleges!

Thing is…curriculum of APHG is considered easier than other AP courses. Some call it a “baby AP”…but you will find your way, A or B…

If you get A one of the quarters you might get A for semester. Plus it’s more about the ap score than the semester grades
