From people who took this class, Does this class have a easy ap test? What is your description of the course? Do you think it is worth self-studying?

I took the class my sophomore year (last year) so that I could have a social studies class. [otherwise it was modern world history, which was much more work for no reason; AP Euro History is easier if you’ve taken Modern World, but you can still learn everything in AP Euro just fine if you haven’t taken MWH]

I was in honors Geography, and didn’t have to study for a single test throughout the year. I used good logic, writing skills, and knowledge from personal experience. This was the same for the AP test. I received a 4 even though I didn’t really prep and logically guessed on 10+ questions. Half of it is writing… And I think that is what redeemed my multiple choice score.

A 5 should be easy to get, with or without a class, especially if you actually studied.

I really enjoyed the course, however, and had an amazing teacher. It expanded my views in many areas. Of course, the AP exam is pretty dry, and does what it’s supposed to do: test your knowledge of Human Geography.

I’m really interested in social studies and international affairs… So that helped with the writing. Have SPECIFIC, REAL-WORLD examples for every essay question. Some even ask you to choose a post-Cold war example, so make sure you know about MODERN EVENTS that relate to every geographical concept.

This test will be easiest for people already interested in this general area (like me, I suppose), but that’s a given.

Hope I helped ^_^

It’s worth self-studying, but don’t take it for granted; it’s definitely more difficult than Psych, albeit easier than pretty much all the others. But still, you should take the time to review.

ok, I took the class this year, my freshman year and it was my first AP. I had an amazing teacher who made the course really fun.

1) The course overall is really enjoyable because it is really applicable to life and insanely interesting!

2) It is self-study friendly but it isn’t all memorization. (but a lot of it is) For example, this year, on one of the FRQ, you had to give actual contemporary of certain factors that contributed to the development of a country. See, it’s not just memorizing vocab words like it is for AP Psychology.

3) A lot of the material though, as my teaccher would say, is “AP common sense”.

4) I suggest you use PR

5) The test overall is really easy and has a very generous curve.

GOOD LUCK! (btw, I got a 5)

I got a 3 freshman year (2009) and I thought for my first AP it was very challenging. AP World was much harder, although I received the same grade. I tried a lot harder this year and I really didn’t study much for any AP exam. I just do the assign reading and review a little, probably why I didn’t score higher.
