I posted this thread in the Penn forum, but was also curious regarding the policies at Duke. With this said, I am trying to plan my AP test schedule around what certain schools take credit for.

Last year I took AP Lang and received a 5 on the AP test. I am currently in AP Lit and I am unsure about whether or not I should bother taking the test. I am an excellent writer, but I am not into literature that much. Some of my friends have told me that if I get a 5 on the AP Lit test I will receive no additional credit as I have already gotten a 5 on the AP Lang test. This posses a concern as I would not want to spend $89 and 3 hours of my time to take an English test that will not benefit me with credit or exemption from college courses.

Is anyone aware of this? Would I benefit in terms of college credit from getting 5's on both Lang/Lit?

(By the way, I applied to the Engineering school)
