AP Language vs. Music

I have a dilemma :)

I am currently a junior, and for my senior year, i only have room for either AP foreign language or choir. Both of them count as honors credits.
Most people would say that French would obviously look better, since i only have 3 years of FL (fresh-junior, although i also took it in middle school) However, choir is a big part of my life, and basically all of of my friends are in choir. If i don't take the class next year, i won't be able to be a part of the choir.

Factors:
1. I'm not going to take the AP language test anyways (way too hard!)
2. I'm majoring in mathematics.
3. I'm taking 4 APs junior year, 3 senior year.
4. I am part of an "elite" choir group that you have to try out for. only 100 out of the ~2400 people in my school make it.

Thank you. =)

Take choir. 7 AP's is plenty, a language isn't relevant to your major anyway, and, above all, chorus is obviously something that's very important to you and you'd be doing yourself a great disservice by quitting, especially if the primary reason is to impress an admissions committee.

Music.

The one person from my school who got into Yale last year took two music courses (one of which was advanced choir).

OMG I had almost the same dilemma as you! I was deciding between taking College Spanish or Chorus. I know Spanish probably looks way better, but I hate Spanish and it's only College Spanish, so I could blow $700 on the credit and end up with the college not accepting it. I've never taken Chorus before, but I'm big on band and I love music, so I ended up taking it just to try something new. Anyway, throughout high school I'll have ended up taking 8 AP classes, and I'm going to go into health sciences anyway so I don't think dropping my last year of Spanish is going to hurt me that much.

My point is, go for music. Haha.
