*Because people had to drag on a bland joke, and not help out a fellow CC'er, I changed the name.

Sooo, AP Euro exam is coming up Friday, and I'll be gone due to a conflict with athletics. I went to my AP Coordinator to let her know I need to take the make-up exam, and they tell me they aren't going to offer it to me for a multitude of reasons:
-They'd have to hire a proctor
-I'd be the only one taking the exam/not worth it (I've found 2 others who need to take the make-up)
-My reason doesn't fall into the reasons for doing the late testing (I've called AP Central and they said it's legit)

Basically, I think they're BSing me so they don't have to put in the extra effort to let me take it.

They told me I couldn't take it at another school either, because that school doesn't want me to lower their AP score average. I looked it up, and late testing does not affect your scores, and who's to say I don't RAISE their scores if that's the case..I see that as an insult.

But, is there any way I could take the make-up exam, like is there a place that they ALWAYS allow you to take it..let's say a neutral spot and not just a high school?

Fellow athlete, you need to fight back. Athletes like me are sick and tired of discrimination (ZOMG ATHLETICX R DUMB LOL), so you need to call/contact the AP Office of Integrity because the school told you that your reasons are invalid, but AP says they are excused absences, so you win. The Office of Integrity will probably do something like threaten to cancel every score in the school, ban AP testing in your school, etc. until you get what you want.

I think, under these circumstances, you would be able to take the late AP exam. However, you will probably have to pay extra fees (I think $50 to Collegeboard for taking it late, plus proctoring fees).

Like the previous poster said, you’ll very well likely have to pay a fee, however there is absolutely no legitimate reason why they could refuse to grant you last testing.

Omg, AP Late Testing was the hardest AP exam ever! Did you guys get the question about what happens if students are unable to take the late tests? Omg, so hard! :(

^ annoying ■■■■■ is annoying.

i’ve brought up the $40.00 fee, and they still seem to think they don’t have to allow me to take it. i’ll probably get my parents involved

Also note that the $40 is only if you DON’T have an excuse that CB accepts. In your case, you don’t need the $40.

^no. If you don’t have a legitimate excuse, Collegeboard won’t let you take a late test. If you do, whether you pay the $40 fee depends on the excuse. Athletic events require the $40 fee, so the OP would need to pay it. The list of “pay-for” and “don’t-pay-for” excuses is on Collegeboard’s website at:
