How can I study for this?

On an average section of 8 or 9 questions, I usually only get 4 or 5 right.

As for my essay, it seems like a hopeless case. What can I do to get better?

well... I'm in the same boat. I think I'm going to try to get a help book and hopefully I will improve because I keep get C's on the essays we do in class and even though I try I don't get better. I think for the essay you basically just have to only have a few reallly good points but back them up a lot with quotes and just a lot of support in general. Who know's though.

I think this will make you feel better. We haven't done any practice essays, MC or anything yet. I don't even know how the test is laid out. Our teacher is not very good, needless to say!!

5/9= a 4 on the exam

For essays, I think you should work with your teacher. So, ask your teacher for help?

Buy an SAT II Literature prep book. Helps a ton on the MC, I definitely recommend it.

What exactly is giving you trouble? Interpretation of literature? Writing and organization? Vocabulary?

Do any of you have any websites that are helpful for preparation? No books, though. I really don't know how to prepare other than go over my note cards that we made on our readings (literary devices, analysis, things of that sort) and just vocabulary. What else can I do?
