AP Literature Scores

Same for me! I thought I did really well and ended up getting a 4. I’m pleased because my college will take that for credit, though. But most of the people I talked to after the exam said they felt fairly confident, and don’t Collegeboard grade it so that it’s impossible for everyone to get a 5? It’s done by percentiles or some craziness? So if everyone did really well, a 4 is still pretty damn good.

Wasn’t expecting a 5, and got what I expected. 4.

yeah i was really surprised with this ap. i thought the multiple choice was fine but i thought i did badly on the essays and was expecting a 3/4, but ended up with a 5… i hope i didn’t hear the grade wrong.

I thought it was really easy and that I wrote really well, so I was really hoping for a 5 but got a 4…darn, though, because for my college we have to take a “Freshman Essay Evaluation” over the summer (a 4+ hour essay test on the internet) if we get anything below a 5 :(

Did anyone test late for Literature and receive their scores?

By the way, obviously congrats to everyone who passed at all…and all of you who got 5’s shouldn’t feel bad posting on here. Just because some of us (including me) are needlessly whining about 4’s doesn’t mean that we think we deserved 5’s and you didn’t, or that we deserved 5’s at all. lol. I hope I didn’t come off snarky or rude before or anything. Awesome job! :)

I am surprised by my 4, I was expecting a 5. That being said, the 4 isn’t bad at all, and my college gives the same credit for a 4 as a 5, so I’m happy.

Aus doesn’t do APs, but anyway…

I’m one of 12 doing Lit in my year group. I expected somewhere in the mid 50s on my exam, but I got it back today and got 82%. I’m not complaining :|

musicmeli I know that you have no snarky or rude intentions
It’s better to vent on the internet to strangers than family or friends (especially bc CC people understand how hard these things are; most parents just can’t comprehend)

:D

5 also; you’re not alone, USNA. I used full time on essays, and English is my strong suit. Fives are very rare at my school, so I’m happy.

Sorry for all of you who are disappointed with your score. :(

I’m really worried about my score. I need a 4 for any credit at my school, and I felt like a 3 when I took it, but I’m also hard on myself? I felt like the MC was cake, the first and last essays I did well on, but the prose essay was crap. It was originally 3/4 of a page, but when I realized I had time, I pathetically streched it to 1 and 1/4. I’d probably give myself two sevens and a five on the essays and around 60-65% on the MC… bah. I’m not paying $8!

Wait, how do you guys already know your AP scores? I thought the earliest they come out is July 1st by phone. Can somebody please inform me on how to get my AP scores now?

I got a 5 on the AP Literature exam. I spent the summer before my senior year in a summer program studying modern poetry (under a famous poet, in fact!), and I had an extremely talented AP Literature teacher, although the course was only one semester long. Oddly enough, I only scored a 3 on the AP Language exam as a junior. I attribute my 5 to my reading & writing intensive senior year courses and poetry summer program.

bump i need to know where to get my AP scores from

you can call 1-888-225-5427 and get your scores. They say that they are out July 1st but they usually put them up on the 26th, 27th or in this case the 29th!

omg i called for my scores and they didnt report my lit score…what the heck?

Got a five today. I sort of felt it, though. I felt really prepared for the test and it was much easier than I had imagined. Then again, I took the English Lit Subject Test just a few days prior and felt really bummed, since I basically failed it.

I got a 5.
My AP Lit teacher was awful. She had no idea what she was talking about the majority of the time. I think I could have gotten the same score at the beginning of the year.

To anyone curious, I ended up getting a 3. I’m totally content with that.

I agree. I think it was too easy which ruined the curve. I truly expected at least a four and maybe a five but got a three. And on AP Lang I expected a 3 but got a 5. Hm.
