AP Physics B or AP Environmental Science

I will definetly take AP Physics B (no C available). At my school gives seven classes, so I have most of my choices settled except some electives. What I was wondering is whether I should double up on sciences (AP Physics + APES) junior yr. for AP Euro senior, take an elective junior and AP Chem (not AP Euro) senior, or take an elective junior and AP Euro senior (not AP Chem, only 1 AP Science through high school). Even if I only take AP Physics I would still have 4yrs of science on my transcript. My choices are:
Junior -
AP English Lang
Pre-Calc Competition (MAO)
AP Physics B
AP US History
Spanish 4
AP Psych
APES/ AP Stat/ Honors Elective
Senior -
AP English Lit
AP Calc BC (MAO)
AP American Gov't/ AP Macroeconomics (switch at semester)
AP Spanish Lang
Math Analysis (calc corequisete)
AP Euro/ AP Chem
Honors Elective
Also I want to major in Poli Sci, Psych, or business in college which is why I want more social studies and less science even though I am excellent at science.
P.S. If I only took AP Phys for science I would still have 4yrs of science on trascript (3 honors + 1 AP)

I'm self-studying B so...

It's not too bad. I'm taking the average course along with it so that helps.

AP Physics is generally much more preferred than APES, but AP is AP...

I'm taking AP Physics B no matter what. It's more a question of APES, AP Chem, or AP Euro History for a future PoliSci major.

Hey.. I am taking AP Physics online, and I have to tell you it is a pain in the neck. I wouldn't recommend you taking a physics class without a real teacher. It is no fun especially when 95% of time you can't find adequate lab equipments for your lab.

I agree, this is what I was getting at earlier.

I strongly discourage taking AP Physics online without a prior physics course.

I'm taking AP Physics C Online without an prior physics class and am doing pretty well, except that it doesn't include labs, but compared to my labs in my science classes at my school, it's not really a big deal. But it depends a lot on the person too. Like if I wasn't as good at math as I am right now, I probably wouldn't be doing as well.

Take AP Physics B because AP Env Scienc eis kind of stupidd.

I went into AP Environmental Science thinking that it'd be an easy AP, yet I now find myself bogged down in work. At our school, the course is not necessarily easy, and the workload is simply unbearable. Being a second semester senior, I'm not sure how I'll find the motivation to do all of this science crap.

I took the course as a cop-out because it's still an AP, but not as technical as Physics/Chem/Bio. Although it is certainly less confusing, the course still requires a decent background in science, and I never tried to retain any information from my earlier courses.

It depends on the teacher most of all.

I hate environmental with a passion. But that's cuz i got a crap teacher.

I'd take APES...just because it's more relevant to the world.
As someone has mentioned earlier, APES deals with a lot of current issues that may be helpful to know if you want to major in polisci.

And I guess my school just has a hard APES program.
It's almost as demanding as AP Bio.
The materials are certainly easier to understand because a lot of it is common sense,
but the workload of the course is definately not light.

Hey guys thanks for the responses to my question. Some people don't understand what I'm asking so I'll rephrase it. I have decided on all my courses except 2. So, between AP Chem, APES, AP Euro Hist, and APES which 2 should I take? My dilema comes from whether it is better to balance out AP courses (2 English, 2 Math, 2 Sci, and 4 social studies) or to aim for one thing I'm most interested in (AP Social studies).

P.S. In my school almost noone pases Chem AP tets (about 10 people each year), though my Chem teacher (teaches AP aswell) says he thinks I should pass it if I take the class. Also, nobody at my school seems to like AP Stat. 90% pass AP Euro test. And, APES teacher supposed to be really good at teaching to test.

i recommend no APES

AP Environmental Science is a joke. It should not even be considered a class; you learn farming techniques, waste management, and which out of the "reduce, reuse, recycle" mantra is the best for the environment. Take something practical, something relevant to real life: AP Physics.

APES is almost like an elective while AP Physics is a big "core" class. Physics B isn't really all that hard and I had no prior Physics experience and I'm doing great in my class.
