I have a question about the mathematics involved in Physics B. Is it calculus-based? What kind of math level is usually required or advisable to have if you take this course? I will be taking Calculus AB the same year, so how do you think I'll fare?

No, Physics B is not Calculus based Physics. However, if your school offers Physics C, I've seen people on CC take Calc AB or BC concurrently with Physics C, and that test would give you more college credit.

You'll do fine :) Physics B just goes up to like Trig kind of stuff.

Yeah. If you know algebra 1, geometry, and and sohcahtoa, you'll be fine.

I know many ppl in that class at sophomore due to their magnet program and most get Bs or Cs all of which are in AP Calc AB. I would caution you about that class.

katia - my school doesn't offer C so I will take that one junior year. as for the last comment, dang, I was hoping for all good reviews. i guess i'm still a little nervous but I think I will do well...hopefully
