Hey, you people always have the best advice, so I’d like to ask a few questions about AP Physics B.

Is it ok to take AP Physics B in your junior year?

Is it ok to take AP Physics B with just Algebra II and intro to trig?

Thanks!

haven't taken AP physics B yet, but i know the answers

Yes

Yes, Physics B is non-calculus based. however, it might be advantageous to take it concurrently w/ pre-calculus (that's what i'm doing).

I took physics B and got a 5 this year!!!

I took it as a junior - so yes

Yes

I took it and got a 5
1. Definitely (it's not difficult)
2. You're going to want to know trig and triangle geometry very well to coast through the class (basic trigonometric functions)

I'm taking it Junior year and I'll be taking Trig concurrently.

Is it possible to get 5 on AP Physics B if you have never taken physics in your school but study the prep book? That's my situation except I got 5 on Calc BC.

For #2 of original Q, I heard that Physics B is non-calculus so trig should be fine.. I know people in physics class who just finished geometry (and thus, not trig).
