Anyone else here taking both C exams without taking the courses?

me! (10 char)

me! )10 char(

only mechanics... :-(

mech in school, E and M basically self study (even though I go to a community college for it...there's no PSets to be graded so I consider it a self study)

you people are insane, i guess in a good way.
not no not the not.
whatever i think i went insane, and i havent taken physics C, wow i imagine how crazy i would be if i did

ehh mechanics is super easy once you get the hang of it. It's that E and M that is hellishly hard.

How do you guys self-study Physics C? Is there a certain book you use? Is it difficult?

I have independent study during school, I do AP while my teacher is teaching Regular/honors physics.

He's there if I have any questions, but most of the time he's in a bad mood and I don't want to seem stupid.

BUT, he has the FRQ from every year since like 1987 except 1999 (anyone have a copy?) plus the years that released MC.

I had him for honors, the curriculum for which he made himself, and it closely paralleled AP (minus the calculus). So, besides torque and rotation, Mechanics is really easy for me. I'm already scoring a 3 without any MC. (Yayyyy) The curve is great, I <3 it.

E and M is a totally different story. All we did last year we F = kqq/r^2, so I'm having problems. 5 other people have it during another period (independent study) and I think I'm the only one who's going to take that part of the exam. Hopefully I can master the FRQ, since the curve is around 45-90 for a 5, hopefully I can at least get a 4. A guy who took it last year is coming once a week or so and helping us out during class, which is great =). Learning from a textbook is incredibly difficult.

i'm taking ap phys c e+m in school WITH a teacher with a DR. title and its bad enough. i'd seriously shoot myself before i independent study this stuff.
