How much calculus is used in AP Physics C? I want to take it in Junior year, but by then, I'll only have completed Precalc/Calc A and I"ll be taking Calc BC alongside AP Physics C. Is that enough to not die in the class?

I think you’ll be fine. From what I’ve heard, physics only uses basic, or the “A” portion, of calculus.

You need to know hardly any calculus. If you know how to do basic derivatives and integrals, that’ll hold you off until you get to some of the harder stuff. And even then, it’s not that hard (math-wise, the physics is a *****).

I took Calc BC concurrently with Physics C junior year. I found that they actually complemented each other and taking them at the same time helped me with both. I had to stay a few chapters ahead of the class in calc to keep up with physics, but physics really helped calc make more sense. I ended up with a 5 on the Calc BC test, a 5 on Mechanics, and a 4 on EM.
