General Question: AP Physics & Math

I'm only a rising Junior, but my parents are already thinking about Senior year. They would like me to do take AP Physics C. But thing here is, I only plan taking AP Calculus 1A/1B Senior year which only covers the AP Calculus AB curriculum. Is AP Calculus AB good enough for AP Physics C?

Thank you so much.

You should be fine with that. I took both Physics C and Calc AB this past year as a junior and got 5s on all 3. The only issue I had was that I didn’t know integration or differentiation in the beginning of the year and I needed to for E&M, but my physics teacher helped teach me as much as I needed to understand the material and do the math. And then about a month later I knew it from the Calc course. But again, you should be fine taking them concurrently.

Yes, all the calc you need in physics c are derivatives and basic integration. You may go over that fast in your physics c class too.

Oh okay thanks a lot, I was just really worried. Thanks a ton~

you only need basic calc for AP physics C, don’t worry about it

^ Thank you~ :)
