AP Physics, Chemistry, Psychology, Language and Composition and US History.

Hey so for these classes I wanted to know a few tips and thanks in advance. Please keep in mind that I am not aiming for a 5 on these tests and mostly just want to pass them even with a 3 if I must.

For AP Chemistry, I heard this year the test was being updated and was wondering which AP review book would be the best to get. I've heard the PR one was bad for this year.

For AP Psychology I had received a study book that goes along with the book that we use (David G. Myers Psychology Eighth Edition and the Richard O. Straub study book) and I was wondering if purchasing a review book was even necessary since I have this book and access to free response questions online. If you think I should buy one, which would be best?

For AP Language and Composition, is it worth buying a review book at all? All my friends said that you can't really study for English. If you think I should buy one, which would be best?

For AP US History, which review book is best? I've heard the PR one is good.

Lastly, AP Physics, which is easily my most difficult class. Even though the school year has just begun, I have a hard time understanding anything in that class. How do you suggest I study for the class in general? We have the Giancoli Sixth Edition book. What review book would be best?

Thanks a lot to anybody who can help me out.

You can study for English, but you cannot study for AP Language, at least not without a lot of complication. As terrible as it may be, I recommend writing lots and lots of practice essays to get a feel for the time limit and what the graders want.

Princeton Review was my favorite out of the U.S. History prep books that I purchases, though 5 Steps to a 5 was wonderful for practice questions that resembled those on the exam.

For Psychology, I used Barron’s, and it did make studying for the exam a lot easier. You don’t necessarily have to have a prep book for this subject, especially if you’re short on cash, but it certainly wouldn’t hurt, and it’s lovely to have all the information in the same place.

As for the others, I can’t say, as I haven’t taken them. Sorry!
