Hello,
Does a C in AP Physics I effect my chances of getting into an engineering college? I want to do computer science/engineering as my major. I have never taken a physics course prior to this one, so it has been very hard for me to get a good grade in this class throughout this semester. Not to mention, it is a well-known fact that AP Physics I is the hardest course in my school. I am also in my junior year of high school, so will this one C represent a “downward trend” even if I get all As in the rest of my four AP classes? Or will this show my willingness to “challenge myself” and take tough courses? Will this C make admission officers see me as “not fit” to go into the engineering field, or will they be more sympathetic, especially since I have never taken a physics course prior to this one, and the fact that I have never received a C in a class before this one?
