AP Physics Teacher Doesn't Teach

I’m in 10th grade and I am currently taking AP Physics 1. I’m a straight A student, and all my classes are either AP or advanced. However, my physics teacher doesn’t teach us. Our class consists of her putting vague notes on the board, and us copying them. However, these notes never cover everything that are on her tests (which are composed of AP questions from the past). Most of the class fails all of her tests, and she curves them up so we can get a passable grade. The only assignments we have are the Minds on Physics modules, but we never learn how to actually solve the problems that are presented in them, so we all end up guessing our way through the assignment. I managed to get an A for the semester (due to her immense test grade curves), but I’m nervous about the AP exam. Does anyone know of any good sources that could teach me the course and help prepare me for the exam? I’ve tried Khan academy and it helps, but I need more difficult practice problems similar to the AP exam.

I have some useful resources for you:
AP Physics 1 Essentials: (the best AP Physics 1 review book) http://aplusphysics.com/ap1/
AP Physics C Princeton Review Book: (may be a bit too much since AP Physics 1 is less mathematical and more interpretative, but gives you a sharp analytical view on Physics) http://www.amazon.com/Cracking-Physics-Edition-College-Preparation/dp/0804126224
Fundamentals of Physics: (arguably one of the best AP Physics textbooks) http://www.amazon.com/Fundamentals-Physics-David-Halliday/dp/111823071X

Khan Academy is the best way to get introduced into a topic. After watching Khan Academy, go into Fundamentals of Physics textbook and do some sample problems. After you compare your answers with the answers, go over the review books to see what they have to say.

I’m not allowed to share the pdf files for the Fundamentals of Physics textbook and solutions manual, but I’m sure you could find them online if you are low on cash.

Thank you so much! I’ll definitely be looking into these

Hi, I’m having the same problem as you and just wanted to add the free online edX course as a helpful guide. I’m taking ap physics 1 online right now (not taking it at school) and I think I would be pretty prepared for the exam in May if I had just started a little earlier!
