Peer Mentoring (like Link Crew) 0 period
AP Biology (it's a pretty busy/difficult course at our school)
AP Economics (supposed to be harder than our AP Comp/Gov class, which is extremely tough- A people start out with C's and D's)
AP English Language & Composition
AP Statistics
Yearbook (will probably drop it)

should I take AP Physics or Environmental? From what I can tell right now, I think I would be more interested in Environmental... but I heard it is a bit of a joke and the class will be a lot easier than say AP Biology, which is usually difficult at our school. And I want a strong transcript, so would Physics or Environmental be better? (If I'm applying to schools like Stanford, Scripps, Pitzer, UWashington, Rice, and a few slightly below that tier where I could probably get merit aid)

I know it's senior year, and as far as extracurrics go, I'm pretty busy with positions in a few clubs and cross country in the fall. So dropping yearbook (which is a waste of time) would be smart I think, which is what I'll probably do). But I don't know whether I should take physics or environmental.

The last time I took a physics type of class was freshman year-- a trimester of it.... so I'm quite uneducated in physics. But I've never taken any type of environmental science at all. Chemistry, I already did 2 tris of sophomore year (and I absolutely detest it but I know if I might go pre-med I will need to know chemistry..... dang)

^^^that may be true, but i think physics will benefit you more, mainly because it's a more popular science....but then again, you might want to major in environmental science, so i don't really know....also, besides being more beneficial to your learning process, it will also look better on a college app.

AP Physics is a rough class, a lot of work, tons of labs and rigorous tests. My teacher told us that we needed to study for the tests for at least 9-12 hours. Its a tough class, in my school it was a double period everyday, but who knows, I think you should take it because of its benefits. Although it is somewhat difficult, the reward of competing such a class is unspeakable.

if it's ap physics b, nothing you do is all that hard. i won't say the class won't be hard because i don't know your teacher, but none of the concepts are hard to grasp, and the math is around algebra II.

I would rather take environmental science, but physics would look better, especially because you haven't taken it before. What other science classes have you taken?

The science classes I have taken are freshman sciences (trimester of biology and trimester of physics), 2 trimesters of physics, and this year 2 semesters of Human Anatomy & physiology.

Chemistry at the school was somewhat designated as an honors course (it was this or the easier sophomore sciences). But it's not AP or IB.

But I got all A's, and I had A's w/ Honors in my freshman science classes.

So I haven't taken an AP/IB science course yet, which frightens me because I know I should have this year but didn't. So I'm wondering if I should take physics to be more competitive? I mean, I guess I would be interested in physics. But I'd be interested in environmental more.
