hey everyone, this is my first question here at cc! =)

i'm currently a sophomore, and i plan to take two science for my junior year. generally people in my school don't take physics untill their senior year, but i really want to try it.

i plan to take ap chem+ap bio, or ap chem+ap physics. is ap physics too hard for a junior? please give me some advice!!!!!!!

dont take aps my friend did and their really hard and you gotta take tests after ward, big exam things with essay questions

Chem and Bio might be easier, unless you really like Physics or something. I don't like physics. I hate it.

any other advices?

it's a really hard decision for me. i did pretty good in both bio and chem, but i wanna try new stuff. what's the class mainly dealing with?

take food science you get a 100 all the times they give qwizes

you must be kidding!!! plus, there's no food science at my school.

Have you taken a non-AP physics course yet? If not, definitely steer clear of AP physics! Take an honors or GT course first.

Also, make sure you're in higher-level math. For GT/Honors physics, I'd say you should be in precalc at the same time, if not AP calc. It'd be advisable to have at least AP calc during AP physics...

oh then take ecology thats kinda easy but you hafta earn your grades i dropd that class

we only have ap and non-ap physics at my school, people taking non-ap physics are those who dont enroll in any single ap/honors class... i'm currently taking trig H. so it sounds like physics class involves a large portion of math?

y u asking me ive never taking it

physics is basically all math...every section in physics you'll learn is going to involve math in some shape or form. usually it's good to have completed trig/pre-calc when taking physics.

hmm... i'll think about it. i feel pretty good about my math! how about the difficulty of the ap test? has anyone taken it yet?

my friends ap test was hard she took history

I'd never take AP Physics. The people who do take are all incredibly intelligent, so to them AP Physics is just another class. To a simpleton like me Honors Physics is way too difficult.

thanks!

any other opinions?

i took ap chem and ap physics this year and let me tell you: physics SUCKS.

jimi hendrix YEAH!

I'd take it in senior year and take something else in the meantime.(AP Bio is always very nice:))

oh well...
i'll think about it.
