AP Physics

So I plan to take one of the AP Physics tests this May. I am taking IB Physics 1(aka Physics Honors) right now and took Calc BC last year. How different is AP Physics from Honors Physics and with some self study, what are my chances of getting a 5?

How is an Ib class equal to an honors class?..

Ap Physics is a lot harder and has a lot more concepts than honors physics. I would recommend getting a ap physics or college textbook and physics princeton review and just going through the chapters and almost all of the problems. Thats what I have to do because me AP Physics teacher sucks.

Well IB Physics is a 2 year course and the first year, we learn the same thing that Honors Physics teaches. And would I need a textbook as well as a prep book?

Which AP Physics test do you plan on taking?

Physics B

10char

I know that my honors physics class matches up pretty well to physics B. The only real difference is a few extra topics that aren’t covered. I would talk to the teacher and see what they think chances are that they know what’s one the test compared to what you learn.
