AP Psych or AP Econ and drop Latin?

Hey guys! So i'm having a scheduling conflict and wanted to see if you had any advice for me. I'm a junior and I take Latin, which barely anyone takes at my high school so there's only one class, which makes it really difficult to get some of the courses I want.
Right now, because of Latin, I can't take AP Microeconomics/Macroeconomics, which is what I wanted to take as a perspective business major. My options right now are:

1) Take AP Psych as my 4th AP, keeping Latin 3 in my schedule. Then, I'll take AP Econ Senior Year (tentatively, but if I keep Latin 4 senior year it may be difficult) and/or take financial literacy (required at my school) over the summer.

2) Take AP Econ this year, dropping Latin 3. I then can take Latin 3 over the summer and/or continue with it senior year.

Keep in mind though, that Latin is a joke at my school (super easy), and my teacher loves me. Should I risk a good rec, Latin Honors Society, and possible National Latin Exam awards for AP Econ? I'm also scared that my schedule won't work out senior year with AP Econ, but if that happens again I may just drop Latin (still risking a good rec, LHS, and NLE, but just senior year). Does it reflect badly if I only have 2 years of language? Please help!

(Also, I am taking AP Lang/Comp, AP Bio, and APUSH this year in case that matters)

Personally I think it’s a good idea to have an unbroken sequence of foreign language courses. I took four years of German in HS, and because I liked the language, I was able to place into the Intermediate 2 level (the 4th semester), so I only had to take one foreign language class instead of two for my core. Look at the course catalogs for the colleges you are considering and check the foreign language requirements.

So do option #1. In the meantime, find out who builds the school schedule, be nice to the person, and suggest to him/her that Latin 4 and AP Econ be not in the same period. A friend of mine went to a small private high school and she did something similar. It helped that the director of scheduling was also my friend’s academic adviser. ;)

Thanks Blaise! Yeah, I just checked and my high school recommends 3-4 years of a world language for selective colleges. I think I’ll go with option 1, but now it’s between AP Psych, AP Euro, or AP World. Should I take the easier AP junior year (Psych or World), or Euro?

Whichever you plan on taking junior year, you could take the other one senior year right? If you want to get into a highly selective college, I recommend ap euro, as you can put your grade in your transcript and a 5 in euro would look better then a 5 in psych. And then ap psych senior year. But it just depends on how much work load you want and if you can handle the euro work load this year.
