My school dropped AP Psych and are offering AP Econ instead. Should I take it?

I’m sorry for asking about my schedule so late in the summer, but I got a call from my school yesterday telling me about a problem with my schedule. The AP Psych teacher left at the end of the school year and they could not find a replacement teacher in time to run the class, which made me upset because I really wanted to take Psych. However, they are offering AP Economics now (which has never been offered at my school before) and wanted to give the Psych kids a chance to switch to that instead, or we can just choose another elective. I have to call them back by the 18th.

Is AP Econ hard? My school never specified whether it was Macro or Micro or which exam we’d be taking in May, so it would be really helpful if anyone who took either one answered. I’m decent with math and analyzing graphs, and I had to take regular Econ last year and it was pretty easy. Plus the class size will be pretty small since a lot of the Psych kids don’t want to take it and most of the kids at my school don’t care about academics at all.

The other classes I’ll have are AP Bio, AP Lit, physics, computer programming, a preschool education class, and a mandatory study hall.

I’m only worried because of my other APs. I’ve taken 3 APs before (APUSH in sophomore year, Chem and Lang in junior year) and I’m a hard worker, but I’ve heard AP Bio can be challenging. With Psych it wasn’t a big deal because I’m very interested in the subject and it’s considered an easy AP, but I know almost nothing about the AP Econ course and my school gave me no information other than that the class is being offered. I kind of want to do it because my school does not offer many other academic classes and my only other option would be to take an art class or something, but my friends are arguing that I shouldn’t because it’s my senior year and I should take easier classes like they are. Do you think I’d be fine if I added AP Econ to my schedule? If anyone could give me some tips or more information on either Macro or Micro, that would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance. :)
