We found out today that due to a schedule conflict, my son needs to change a class.
He is taking AP Spanish, Calc BC, AP Bio, Lit, AP Gov/Econ.
His new choice for a 6th class is AP Psych or Environmental Science.
Anybody have reasons for or against one or the other?
He wants to study finance/international relations in college.
One of my friends said to take Psych since it is a common requirement in college. and can be tested out of, and Environmental is a soft science that is not that helpful.

psych; your friend is correct. In the minds of many, if not most, colleges, no credit is due for a class such as environmental. (just check the colleges in your state)

Thank you for the insight. I appreciate it. Since my S enjoys science, I thought ES would be a good fit. Now it seems he’s leaning towards psych. Registration is tomorrow, so he has to decide fast. Not looking at schools in our state though - BU, BC, SMU, Tulane, Puget Sound, Denver.

I personally find Psych much more interesting :)

Psych would most definitely benefit him more, since it’s kind of science related, and he could test out of it for college.

Thanks taco! I just emailed his counselor to register for Psych.
