AP Psych thread

This is probably unecessary, but I had a quick question and this thread can be used for more if you want:

The thalamus deals with sensory information, but all but one.... which one??

(Someone told me smell, but I wasn't positive)

Yes, it's smell. I believe sensory info from smell goes straight to the limbic system, which is why it's such a powerful memory trigger, but I don't remember which structure specifically.

if the curve for each score is based on how ppl do.. and this test is so much easier than any other AP, than would the qualifications for each mark be much high than the 70%/60%so on brakedown?

do we need to know the brain / neuron diagrams?

Definitely, from what I've seen there's always 3-4 questions about that. Most likely one on limbic system, one on which lobe something is done in, etc.

just since i was looking at it, i'll post the lobes and their functions:

frontal lobe = reasoning/judgement
parietal lobe = sensory
temporal lobe = (above ears) auditory
occipital lobe = visual (back of brain)

Does anyone have any released exams they are willing to send to me?

Please PM me.. thanks!!

is this test graded pretty easily? i'm getting about 15 wrong on the mc part and am shooting for 1/2 to 2/3 of the points for free response...think that'll get me a 5?

hope so but considering i hardly prepared and do about like u.. i think most others who take the psych test will as well... so seriously hope their wont be a harsh curve
