so i’m pretty much starting to freak out because i’m realizing that the exam is tomorrow. no bueno.

i’m the most scared for the frqs. when i looked over some of the past ones, there were several terms i didn’t know. how badly does it hurt your score on the essay section if you don’t know a term or two? it’s always better to write and make up stuff on the off-chance that you might get something than to leave completely blank, right?

multiple choice is usually my strong point but i didn’t realize that you were supposed to get 75% right. seems pretty high compared to other exams, but i guess it’s because the questions are easier. my apush class had a retreat on friday and saturday, so i missed the psych review on saturday. wish i had studied before this! ):

Freud : Ego = provides sense of self, BALANCE between Id, superego, outside world, works on REALITY PRINCIPLE, which recognizes demand of outside world

Superego = moral constraints, conflicted with ID, this conflict presents itself in one’s personality

For example, devil on shoulder = ID, angel on shoulder = superego, You = Ego

Tip: even if the FRQs do not ask for a definition, it is always better to provide one. In some cases, if the example is not good enough for the point, the definition will give it a little boost :)

if they tell you the variance of a set of data, just take the square root of it and that’s your SD. That’s the only way I’ve ever seen it. On a normal distribution for IQ, each deviation is 15 points… 68% of people fall between 85-115…

now good night! thanks for everyone’s help! I’ll be back in the morningggg… Now I am going to call a friend on the phone and read her my 12 page cram packet because I cant just study like a normal person… I learn by verbalizing…

if anybody could post a list of the most influential people that we DEFINITELY will need to know, i would love you forever and possibly marry you… just throwing that out there
