Does anyone have links to study/cram guides? Thank you in advance.
@SEALteamsix Thanks, I appreciate it. Good Luck to you too!
Next year is freshman year for me, I am getting a group of kids together for a study group so my school has reason to order the exam. Here is what I was thinking: Each get a copy of Barrons (Princeton instead??), a copy of 5 Steps To A 5, use quizlet weekly for vocab, take the course through edX, and two practice tests (the first around Christmas break and the second a week or two before the exam). We would, as a group, read through Barrons 2-3 times and 5 Steps quite a few times. Too much? Too little? Any other imperative resources?
Wow, you guys are way ahead of me. I just started studying over break but I hope I can catch up. Definitely the most interested I’ve been in any course. Hoping that Barron’s prep book and flash cards will do the trick.
Is there any interactive sites that will let me study psychology? Sort of like Khan Academy with math? If you know any good websites for AP Psychology, let me know! thanks.
are dates important?
@BobbyMD edX is a great start!
@darkcrescendo The Princeton Review is a good resource if you want to cram for AP Psych.
One day in and already finished with the first three units; basically a simplified review of AP Stats and Bio. Topic itself seems like a breeze but still very interesting nevertheless.
@MiscTroll Same! I’m studying with my friend and we’re almost done with the Barron’s book. I’m taking AP Bio at the moment and the nervous system portion is nothing compared to what I learned in AP.
I am using the Barron’s book and the Princeton Review book to prepare (I am self-studying). Does anyone have additional resources that would be helpful?
Hello! Freshman here also self-studying AP Psych. I found that the website appsychology.com really helped me. It contains all the definitions, powerpoints for each chapter, all the concepts, as well as games and practice test questions. Definitely check it out! I also bought the Princeton’s review book just to be safe, and also for the two extra practice tests.
Scoring comfy 5s on all practice exams I’ve been taking so far. My advice to anyone self-studying is to go through at least two full-length exams before next Monday and see where you stand.
2 days till the exam…:o
Gonna start studying now like a true procrastinator :p.
Does anyone know if we need to know where the different brain parts are (hippocampus, amygdala, frontal lobes, etc) or just their function?
@puregritaf To my knowledge, AP has never asked for locating and labeling parts of the brain. The only thing I might recommend is looking over the 3 parts of the brain (forebrain etc).
What do you guys think the FRQ will be over this year? I am horrible at the brain/bio and sensation/perception units and am hoping to god it isn’t them
@Zeppelin7 Not sure, probably a little bit of everything. I’d assume that one question will give a prompt and ask for interpretations of different approaches (e.g. biological, cognitive, humanistic, behavioral, etc.) Really hoping for an entirely statistic-based question though.
JUST FINISHED THE TESTTTT IM FREEEEEEESW
