AP psychology?

Does AP psychology count as an "academic" course when colleges recalculate GPA? it is an AP class, although it isn't in one of those "core" subjects..

At my school, it was the Social Sciences grade.

At my school it falls under the History department. So yeah, I believe it does count as an academic course. But I think you should ask your guidence counselor just to be 100% sure

The strange thing is, my school puts it under "Family and Consumer science," which means its pretty much in the same category as cooking class. haha.

OP - you may get more responses if you put this in the AP section of the Testing Forum...

Yes yes, it counts as an academic class. At least at my school, it is quite rigorous so it would be strange not to count it?
