I have the AP English Language exam on monday and then the SAT II in english lit on the 7th. I was thinking about prepping for them, but for some reason the books are hard to find, and people I ask say I don't really need to prep for them (especially if i'm in honors/ap english already). is this true? kthxbai

I'm taking both tests as well.

The only thing I can really see anybody studying is a list of rhetorical devices for the AP language....other than that just being comfortable and familiar w/ the test is about all you can do.

Hm, yeah I too am taking the English AP. There honestly is no way to prepare for the test; it's either an individual has it or doesn't so to speak. Furthermore, I wouldn't bother studying rhetorical devices such syllogism, onomatopoeia, or some abberant latin phrase--half the time those aren't even the answers. The more simplistic devices, then well yes (especially for your essay). Otherwise, don't bother studying--I'm sure you're taking other AP's, so just focus on them I suppose.

take some tests so you know you're familiar with the stuff.
