<p>Sorry if this is somewhat off topic. I've self-studied AP Stats, and I am considering whether I should cancel my AP Stats score or not because I really want to win an AP award. </p>

<p>According to Collegeboard, AP scores can be canceled at anytime, although for it to not appear in the current year's score reports, it must be canceled before June 15th. </p>

<p>This means that if I cancel my AP Stats score BEFORE June 15th, it won't be taken into account for the AP award, right?</p>

<p>How about if I cancel my score AFTER June 15th? Would it have an effect then?</p>

<p>I dont believe you have it right that you can cancel it once it is released. You can only cancel it by the deadline provided. You can only hide the score after that for a fee.</p>

<p>You can’t cancel scores once they’re released. ^is right. You can only cancel before AP scores come out.</p>

<p>^Actually, that’s not true. AP scores can be cancelled at any time. The June 15 deadline is for the cancelled score not to appear on the coming report. So if I cancelled my 2011 AP Psych score on June 14, it would not show up on the report I receive on July 5, 2011. However, if I get my report on July 5, 2011 and see that I got a 2 on AP Psych, I will want to cancel. By cancelling on July 5, the score won’t be wiped from my 2011 score report but will be deleted from any further reports.</p>

<p>Moral of the story (if any): Don’t f–k up your senior AP’s.</p>

<p>^I was pretty sure I’d heard from people at school who did poorly on previous APs that you couldn’t get rid of them from your score report once they were released…</p>

<p>People have said you have to keep and send all your scores, not some of them…</p>

<p>Believe me, I couldn’t believe it when I first read it either. But AP policies are actually quite different from SAT/Subject Test policies.</p>
