AP Score Failure?

Hello,

I checked my AP scores the other day only to discover that I got a 2 on one of the tests. It’s my first two, but none of my other friends have gotten twos before. I feel so bad and don’t know how badly this will affect my college chances. Any advice?

Try to relax, AP scores can be surprising sometimes; I just checked on a score I was sure I got a 2 on, but I got a 4.
You decide which scores you’d prefer to submit to the colleges you want to apply to. As long as you didn’t get quite a few 2’s, you should be fine. It may have just been one occurrence; just make sure you can keep your other scores high.

Unless you are going to a top school, it doesn’t matter for admissions.

If you want, try for a retake next year.

Thank you guys for the support, it really means alot. My other concern is about the friends portion. None of my friends have gotten 2’s, and I’m the only one. One friend in particular has made a perfect ACT score, a high PSAT, and a high SAT. I think it’s really bad for me, and colleges will be offering more to them than to me. What should I do?

Don’t worry about your friends or what they are doing. Focus on your grades and test scores and you should be fine.

What I have learned when it come to scores and comparing scores to friends…we all care about are scores…we all think all our friends care about our scores…but really…no one cares. Don’t focus on your friends. Focus on yourself.
