AP Score is 3 but grade is A

Hi guys so I recently received my score in the mail for the AP European history exam and I was surprised since I got a 3 and was expecting a 4 or a 5 considering I have an A in the class and many of my peers received high grades. However, I have been reading up on some literature and came across the notion that colleges concern themselves more with the grade you received in the class versus the AP score grade. I was wondering whether it would hinder my chances to send my AP score in my application, if I should attempt to retake the test, or would the colleges be indifferent to my score and focus on the grade I received in the class.

~thanks guys for the help

Which schools are you looking at?

Don’t worry about the score, move on.

I’ve currently fantasizing about UCLA, but I’m probably just romanticizing the school because I used to live in the area. I also am interested in looking into Haverford college. I know these are pretty top tier colleges so I want to make sure I have the best opportunity possible.
