AP scores and the 'official report'

I have been trying for days to figure out the answer to this question. Should I get the collegeboard to send an official report of my AP scores, or can I just self-report. I know that an official report is not necessary, but is it recommended? Does it give the scores more validity?

Also, I have one score (a 3 in BC Calc) that I would like to hide. I can do this easily by self-reporting, but I can't seem to be able to figure out how to get the collegeboard to hide a score on the official report. Is this possible?

Thanks

You don't report your AP scores except by self-report on the Application before matriculating

Colleges only want you to self report for applications, an official report is not recommended nor will it give more validity to your scores. Only send the official report to the school where you matriculate. The CB sends all scores, there is no score choice.
