Where can I post my AP scores on the Columbia online app? I've searched up and done and can't seem to find it!

I would like this answered as well. I’ve heard the admission office wants you to send an official score report. But last year they self reported and only used the official once they were admitted.

You can put them under the Additional information section, but AP scores won’t play much of a role in your application. Not to mention that your senior year APs won’t even been seen. AP scores are just used to help you get advanced credit once you’re accepted.

I guess the only case where AP scores are actually important is if you come from a school that rarely has kids going to ivies. Then they will need standardized tests to gauge the academic prowess of students.

eclecticist - wrong here again.

AP scores can matter, particularly if they shore up weak SAT IIs, or if they come in subjects that the student indicates they have an interest in. Or perhaps just to show the broadness of their efforts. Unis will take notice if you took the AP class, but don’t have an AP test for it. This will clarify the discordance between the class and the test score. of course, this is only for those who have taken AP tests.

add them to additional information, and make sure that your counselor puts them on the application under additional testing. that should be helpful to you in getting these scores across.

and then submit the official score so that if admitted you receive credit when you matriculate.

In my case, I’ve decided to play it safe and submitted my official score reports to Columbia.

So how do you send the official report to Columbia???
