My school is so weird that if I take an AP class, students HAVE TO take AP tests.
But our teachers aren’t great and I am not a self studier.
SO I did really bad, like literally REALLY BAD on my AP test.
Can college see my score?
My GPA is 3.8.
Also do weighted and unweighted GPA matter???
yes only if you post on the common app
You can use Score Choice from the CollegeBoard to omit scores that you don’t want colleges to see. Otherwise, they will see it.
Also, same! My school makes us take the AP exam if we take the class. Actually, I don’t think it’s weird at all; a lot of schools do this.
While a question of semantics, one can withhold a score from being sent to a college, which is slightly different than Score Choice. That said, you only need to send the official report to the college you will be attending. Anything else is a waste of money. And when that time comes, since the CB charges for everything, I would not pay to withhold scores. As the score report is only used for placement/credit by the registrar’s office, the clerical there will not care what your scores were.
For the Common App, score reporting is optional; you can choose to list all/some/none of your scores.
