AP Scores

Hey guys,

So I self-reported my AP scores on my common app. Does that mean we also have to send them an official copy to the school?

I tried searching for this but the search function isn't really helping me find anything lately....

Thanks if you can help!

I would think you have to send them in or else everyone would just self report amazing AP scores.

Don’t worry about this one. When you are admitted for transfer, if you want credit or placement based on your AP scores that is when you need to provide copies of those scores to the institution that you will be attending.

I called most of the schools I’m applying to and they said that you don’t need to send an official report at the time of application - only after you are admitted if you want to apply for credit with them. They aren’t that big of a deal. And of course if they see you lied…well that’s why they have a Waitlist to deal with those kind of situations.

However…ONE of the schools I’m applying to DID want an official copy before I was admitted. So be sure to check individually with each school.

Okay cool. The schools never explicitly stated that they wanted official scores but just wanted to make sure!

Thanks again.
