If your child is taking an AP exam this spring - are you sending scores all at once over the summer?

or

Have you sent scores already, and intend to add on later?

My DD, a current freshmen, didn’t have her AP scores sent until after she registered for classes at UD last summer. So it really doesn’t matter when you do it. (Note that she only sent two of the four scores as those were the only two she would get credit for.)

Don’t they just automatically send whatever is on record for a student?

when you fill out the answer sheet & bubble in your name & address & stuff, they ask what college youre going to. i will put university of delaware. my guidance counselor said if you dont put your college there, youll have to send it later and pay for it. if you put your college down on the answer sheet, they send all your scores for free. they even will send your test scores from last year. even if your scores arent what youd hope they’d be, my guidance counselor said colleges are just happy to see youre taking ap tests. honestly, if youre scared about getting a bad grade and thats why you want to wait to send them, i really doubt delaware would take away your acceptance for a score of 1 or 2. worst comes to worse, you just wont get any college credit. at least thats how i see it

He said he will put Udel down so they can send all of his scores for free- I was just wondering if students had sent their scores in already, because there is a place on the My Blue Hen page at the bottom about - transfer credits.

Although I’m not sure transfer credits = AP credits
