do colleges (upenn specifically) consider your ap scores when you apply? or do they only look after you've been accepted to determine if you get the credit?

^ bump also wondering -- is the common app self-reported AP scores valid? like do they look at those?

or do u have to call collegeboard and have them send the ap scores.

self-reported, and they dont consider them with the weight of SAT2s IMO

I'm not sure whether AP scores are considered or not. I was accepted ED into CAS, and I had my scores sent (in addition to self-reporting them). I did well on the AP exams, and I figured that it couldn't hurt to send the scores to Penn while my application was being reviewed.

Good AP scores can give your app a small boost (nothing big enough to change you from a reject to an accept). You only need to self report them though. I wouldn't send them in officially. It's a waste of money. Penn only needs the official scores when giving you credit, which is after you've been admitted. You can have the scores sent for free if you put Penn down as your college when taking your senior year APs.

I think that they are inevitably considered... especially now that we have to report them on our commonapp thing.

I was a National AP Scholar and I think that may have helped me get into yaliez earlyzz.
